At the annual grand meeting of Reliance JIO, Mukesh Ambani told a completely new process of SIM activation. Now the SIM activation will be done instantly or within 15 minutes after you get a JIO welcome offer sim. This SIM activation process is known as JIO eKYC SIM activation process which will be done using Aadhaar Card.

Previously, during JIO preview offer it took about 3-5 days for activation but now SIM can be activated at JIO store itself. The document verification will be done using Aadhaar card digital data (like fingerprint/ Retina verification) at the JIO stores. After successful verification, the sim will be activated instantly or within max. 15 minutes .

What document is required for JIO eKYC activation process

If you have an Aadhaar card you can get your SIM activated within 15 minutes. When going to take a JIO sim, carry your Aadhaar card with you to the Reliance digital JIO store, Dx Mini stores, Modern Trade outlets or at prominent multi-brand Jio stores.

This  JIO eKYC signup process will be effective from 5th Sept 2016 in Mumbai and Delhi and will be followed to other cities also.

Documents required taking JIO SIM through eKYC process

1. Aadhaar Card number.
2. 2 recent passport sized photo.
3. Coupon code generated in MyJio app.

This process can be done by only who holds an Aadhaar Card.

After you verify yours Aadhaar card data at the store, Your SIM will be activated within max. 15 minutes.
